Customized Workforce Training Program

The Institute for Corporate Training and Technology (ICTT) at North Shore Community College is a leader in providing customized workforce training solutions required for today’s competitive workplace. ICTT partners with a network of expert trainers to bring specialized curriculum to corporations. At our invitation, Celia Couture of CC Consulting, delivered a customized workforce training program for our client, a New England bank.

What Celia Did:

(1) THE PILOT PROGRAM

Celia delivered a small pilot program for this retail banking group. This established the class format for the year ahead of training and fostered trust and credibility with both management and pilot participants.

(2) MANAGEMENT TRAINING

Celia worked with the bank’s human resources and training department to organize a challenging 9-month training program that produced 16 graduates. Requirements of the rigorous program included extensive role-play exercises, homework assignments, and a final project. An informal network of support was created among the participants that helped sustain the learning for the long-term.

(3) TEAM-BUILDING

Celia held an interactive team-building session for the officer team by drawing on the success of the New England Patriots franchise under Bob Kraft. As an outcome of these team-building sessions, team principles were established for the rest of the organization.

(4) CORE VALUES PROJECT

One of the exercises from Celia’s training program inspired the core values project. The human resources and training group collected feedback from all bank associates and gleaned insights that led to the development of the bank’s core values. These values were formalized through publication, rolled out to every member of the organization and incorporated into the bank’s performance management program.
